Keeping it intentional in 2019

Updated: Jan 12, 2021

I’m not a huge fan of New Year’s resolutions. They’re easy to make and even easier to break, at least for me.

But as we head into 2019, I do like the idea of having a byword to focus on for the New Year, something to keep me focused on what matters most. For me in 2019, that word is “intentional.”

For CFID, it’s about making sure every project we take on is something we’re passionate about, something that makes a real difference for our clients and something that will challenge us to be at the top of our game. Our mission statement is to “create spaces for people to enjoy,” whether that’s an office, a restaurant or another hospitality space. I want to make sure we’re bringing that mission to life every day in 2019.

The same is true for my personal life. I want to be intentional about how I spend my time; to focus on things that bring joy to me and those around me. Life is too short for anything else.

What’s your watchword for 2019?
