carrie frye

Carrie Frye, NCIDQ, RID, LEED AP

Owner and Lead Designer

Our team is led by owner Carrie Frye, a 20-year veteran of commercial interior design. She founded Carrie Frye Commercial Interior Design in 2013, with a vision to bring innovative, custom-built design to each project.

 

Carrie has been a major force behind many great spaces in the Charlotte region and beyond. Her restaurant projects include La Belle Helene, The Crunkleton, Sea Level, Living Kitchen, Yafo Kitchen, Midwood Smokehouse, Viva Chicken and The Pump House. Her designs also include 100,000+-square-foot offices for corporations such as Ingersoll Rand, Valspar and Snyder's Lance Corp. 

 

Under Carrie’s leadership, CFID brings the right blend of designers, architects and project managers to take your project from ideation to opening day.

nan miller johnson

Nan Miller Johnson, NCIDQ, RID

Senior Designer

Nan is a commercial interior designer who specializes in office, hospitality, multi-family and restaurant design. She works closely with clients to reach their goals, bringing a well-rounded project approach that includes everything from design to implementation.

 

During her 20-plus years in design, Nan has worked with high-profile clients, including Ingersoll Rand, Lance Corporate (now Snyder’s-Lance) and United Technologies (now Collins Aerospace). She has designed a number of LEED-certified projects, and her work on Ingersoll Rand won a Talking Walls Award from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Lisa Baker, NCIDQ, LEED AP

Senior Designer

Lisa has been designing commercial and corporate interiors for more than 28 years for clients in the hospitality, higher education and health care sectors. Her projects include dining halls, student centers and housing for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, North Carolina A&T University and Western Carolina University, as well as corporate offices for Bank of America and Moore & Van Allen. She also has completed projects for Central Piedmont Community College, N.C. State University and UNC Hospitals.

sara bradley

Sara Bradley, NCIDQ

Senior Designer

Sara is a 25-year veteran of commercial interior design in Charlotte. Her projects include The Porter's House restaurant, Red Ventures’s North Charlotte offices, custom interiors for Hyatt House Rea Farms and the Men's Shelter of Charlotte, winner of a Housing North Carolina Award for Supportive Housing.

kendra elliott

Kendra Elliott

Designer

Kendra is a 15-year veteran of designing corporate and residential spaces in the Carolinas, with a modern design aesthetic. She has worked with CFID since its inception and has been part of project teams for Blue Bloodhound, Elior, Diversey, Valspar, MapAnything and Tranzact.
