Five for Five

Updated: Jan 12, 2021

Hard to believe, but October marked five years since I founded Carrie Frye Interior Design. It was a huge leap of faith, and one that’s paid off in the form of amazing clients and projects I’m proud to have designed.

In honor of this anniversary, I’m sharing five thoughts about what’s been important to CFID, and to me, during these first five years in business.

  1. Loyalty. First and foremost, I’ve been humbled by the loyalty of my clients. The first clients who hired my new firm are still with me today. They’ve hired the firm to design new restaurants and offices as their businesses have grown, and they’ve referred CFID to others, which is the biggest compliment you can give any business. There is nothing more gratifying and no better measure of our success than happy, loyal clients.

  2. Love. Five years has gone by in the blink of an eye. When I started this firm, my twin sons were in second grade, and I was working from a home office. Now CFID is in a bustling new office space with terrific partners, and my boys just started middle school! Much has changed, but my love for the business has remained. I love coming to work each day, and I think that’s why the time has gone by in a blur…a good one.

  3. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. It’s been incredibly rewarding to work with teams that lift each other up with positive actions and that respect each member’s contributions. I’ve been blessed with great partners and colleagues.

  4. Never a dull moment. As someone who loves to make things, it’s been exciting to see new materials, trends and ideas come on board since I started this business five years ago. I feel so lucky to work in a profession that allows me to grow and change constantly. There’s never a dull moment, and I love it.

  5. See #1CFID’s clients are the best!

In honor of our fifth anniversary, we’re giving away 5 memberships to The Charlotte Museum of History. I’ve served on the board of the museum for several years now, and it’s near and dear to my heart. They do a terrific job of sharing Charlotte’s story, one that’s a bit longer than CFID’s – 250 years long, in fact! Private message me or CFID on any of our social channels to win. We’ll give away the memberships to the first 5 people who contact us.

Thanks for all of your support of CFID. Here’s to the next 5 years!
