Member preferences at country clubs around the nation have changed in recent years, and Cedarwood is no different. As with offices and restaurants, people are looking for multiple spaces that will enhance social experiences. For this project, we highlighted the soaring ceiling in the central club room, the hub of activity with its million-dollar view of the golf course and uptown Charlotte beyond. We reconfigured the adjacent bar and dining area to be more open and light-filled and brought that same aesthetic into the banquet room, which provides an upscale backdrop for any event. Texture, bold color and focal points from every vantage are key elements that make this space inviting for gathering after 18 holes or as a dinner-only destination.
